一、教學目標:
English Through Traditional Crafts is an elective course in which adult learners will develop their English skills whilst engaging in fun, creative craft projects. The core of the course is “learning through doing”. Students will improve their reading and listening by following instructions explaining the craft activity, and improve their speaking and writing by describing and explaining their work in simple English. There will also be informal classroom discussion and teamwork activities, further encouraging speaking and engagement. No prior art knowledge is required.
By the end of this course, students should have achieved the following:
Learn to follow detailed instructions in English. Learn to describe artwork in simple English. Learn how to express their creative concepts in simple English. Improve their speaking and listening through interaction in class, including team projects, discussions and presentations.
