To provide a fun and creative learning environment to enable students to develop their spoken English and conversation abilities. To develop student’s confidence in their ability to express their thoughts, opinions, feeling and emotions in English. To focus on foundational English rather than highly technical and advanced subject matter such as finance and politics.

三、課程選修條件:
Basic level of English proficiency for students. Students will be required to participate in class and group activities in order to practice their spoken English as much as possible. Students are encouraged review class material at home. Students are also encouraged to have as much exposure to English as possible, on a daily basis. 四、授課(實施)方式:
小面授 Lectures, powerpoint presentations, textbook and videos. Task based learning with worksheets and other media to build a solid foundational platform. Student active participation in group activities and challenges. Student group presentations on given topics, including the final group presentation.

第一次 | Course introduction. Small Talk. – infinitives and gerunds. Debate on select topics. |
第二次 | The Telephone. Inviting people out. Telephone words and phrases. Group discussion and role plays. |
第三次 | Music. Persuading. Answering a present perfect tense question. Group discussion. |
第四次 | Housework. Third person verbs and phrasal verbs. Household chores. Group discussion. Charades game, |
第五次 | Sense Adjectives and Comparatives.Sense adjectives and comparatives for City vs. Country. Quiz. |
第六次 | Can I Help You? Talking to people in service industries. Helping visitors to Taiwan. GD. |
第七次 | Food. Shopping. Ordering a pizza. Countable vs. non countable. Group discussion and debate. |
第八次 | Jobs. A job interview. Comparing adverbs. Jobs and workplaces. |
第九次 | Final Group Presentation. Final exam. |
