To provide a fun and creative learning environment to enable students to develop their spoken English and conversation abilities. To develop student’s confidence in their ability to express their thoughts, opinions, feeling and emotions in English. To focus on foundational English rather than highly technical and advanced subject matter such as finance and politics.

三、課程選修條件:
Basic level of English proficiency for students. Students will be required to participate in class and group activities in order to practice their spoken English as much as possible. Students are encouraged review class material at home. Students are also encouraged to have as much exposure to English as possible, on a daily basis. 四、授課(實施)方式:
小面授 Delivery):Lectures, power-point presentations, textbook material and youtube videos. Student participation in group activities, challenges and discussions.. Student group presentations on given topics, including the final group presentation. Course material will be provided digitally so students will not have to purchase the textbook.
五、教學進度:
第一次 | ourse introduction. The movies: types, actors, favorites, censorship, & violence impact discussion. |
第二次 | Feelings and Emotions. Grammar focus: -ed and –ing adjectives |
第三次 | The Weather. Future possibilities, speculation, weather, disasters, and welfare discussion. |
第四次 | Money. Money and banking vocabulary. World currencies. Money proverbs. Group discussion. |
第五次 | Slang and gossip. Reporting what someone else says. Reactions to news. Chinese whispers. |
第六次 | Food.Restaurant service, food ordering, partitives, count/non-count nouns, and shopping. |
第七次 | The Body.Body parts, expressions, beauty salons, fitness centers, and Taiwan's hot springs. |
第八次 | Jobs. A job interview. Comparing adverbs. Jobs and workplaces. |
第九次 | Final Group Presentation. Final exam. |
