一、教學目標:
Course description: This course starts with the theories of children’s reading in terms of its cognitive development and then focuses on the theories and practices of teaching children reading in the context of EFL. Authentic reading materials including picture books, readers, chapter books and adolescent novels are used to illustrate how to incorporate these materials into teaching. Course objectives: This course aims at empowering the learners with: 1. The knowledge of literacy development in the EFL context. 2. The skills of choosing English children’s books for teaching and designing teaching activities 3. The attitudes of teaching literacy as a dynamic development.
